Cee Lo Green's reality TV series has been axed.

TBS announced on Tuesday (02.09.14) that the 'Forget You' hitmaker's show, 'The Good Life,' which focused on his attempts to juggle his careers as a producer, recording artist and performer, won't be returning for a second season.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the decision was made due to poor ratings, but the news comes shortly after women's rights group UltraViolet petitioned the network to cancel his show after the 39-year-old star allegedly shared some controversial opinions on Twitter about the nature of rape.

He wrote: "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! So WITH implies consent.

"People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!"

He later apologised, but then deleted his Twitter account.

The singer pleaded no contest to one felony count of furnishing ecstasy to a female last week, after she accused him of slipping her the drug without her knowledge in July 2012.

The former 'The Voice' USA mentor - real name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway - insisted they "shared" the drug, and he also entered a special plea in which he maintained his innocence in the case.

The singer was placed on three years of formal probation and ordered to complete 360 hours of community service and attend 52 Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Prosecutors rejected a rape charge against him in October 2013, in relation to the same incident, citing insufficient evidence.
