Catherine Zeta-Jones injured her foot whilst putting up her Christmas decorations.
The 51-year-old actress was getting her home ready for the festive season when an “iron rod” which forms part of one of her decorations fell over, and landed on her foot.
Posting a video on Instagram of her foot wrapped in an ice bag, she said: “So I was putting up my Christmas decorations, and an iron rod that’s supposed to be a sculpture - which I don’t even like - fell on my foot, and it hurts.”
Catherine then went on to share another Instagram post in which she revealed she would be unable to carry out household chores now that she’s injured.
She posted a meme which read: “My thoughts: Today after work, I am going to spend an hour at the gym, do the laundry, clean the living room…
“My brain: Lies! All lies!”
And she captioned the post: “Especially now with my holiday decoration injury! Thank you all for your wishes (sic)”
The ‘Terminal’ star also posted a video of her finished Christmas decorations, as she said she now feels “so festive”, despite her foot still being in pain.
She said in the video: “Thank you for all your well wishes. I hurt my foot doing this. Was it worth it? Merry Christmas everybody.”
And in the caption, she wrote: “Thought I would share the fruits of my labor ( or labour, if you are reading this in Britain!) Hurt my foot after completing this still life masterpiece. The pain was worse than labor/labour, but I feel so festive now, but not as festive or a fabulous as the fabulous Mariah Carey. Maybe next year. Anyway, Happy Hanukkah. (sic)”
