The late Carrie Fisher almost pulled out of her last ever interview because she was feeling "under the weather."
The legendary actress passed away at the end of last year after she suffered a heart attack on board a flight from London to Los Angeles and, although it's taken him some time to get over the death of his good friend, Graham Norton wishes he had "done a better job" with her interview on his self-titled British talk show if he had known beforehand that she wouldn't have survived much longer.
Speaking on 'This Morning' on Thursday (28.09.17), he said: "It transpired that was her final interview. If we had know, I wish we had done a better job! It was such a shock. It's taken a long time to figure out that she has gone.
"She did nearly cancel, she was ill, under the weather. But she got through the show. When we got news, I thought, 'That can't be the end of Carrie Fisher.' She was a life force."
Carrie - who died at the age of 60 - shocked the world when she opened up about her alleged affair with her 'Star Wars' co-star Harrison Ford but, although he will appear on the chat show tomorrow (29.09.17) night, Graham didn't want to ask him about their relationship away from the movie set because it's none of his business.
He explained: "I didn't bring it up. You know he's not going to talk about it. I'm not a journalist. Who cares? I'm not the police, I'm not there to interrogate people.
"Harrison does have a slight reputation [for being moody during interviews], but he was in very good form. He likes the movie and there is a big bromance with him and ['Blade Runner 2049' co-star] Ryan Gosling. Chattier than I've seen him!"
Since 'The Graham Norton Show' hit UK television screens in 2007, the 54-year-old presenter has had many famous faces grace his sofa, but his most memorable is Tom Cruise because he's always so polite to the people who works alongside.
He said of the actor: "I've never met anyone who works with him who's got a bad word to say to him. Being Tom Cruise is his full time job and he's brilliant at it."
