Carol Vorderman fears she'll be shot down over the Middle East on her round-the-world trip.
The former 'Countdown' presenter plans to fly her aircraft Mildred - named after her heroine, 30s pilot Mildred Bruce - 29,000 miles around the world on a solo trip next year and is concerned about hovering over the region.
She admitted: "The problem I have at the moment is getting through the Middle East.
"Holiday jets are at 35,000ft, but I have to fly low at 10,000ft.
"Below 25,000 ft there are lots of warnings about anti-aircraft guns. There is a worry. But it's something I've wanted and I'm going to do it."
The 54-year-old 'Loose Women' presenter revealed she is having her "second youth" now that her children - Katie King, 24, and Cameron King, 18 - have flown the nest.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "When your children have left home it gives you a release.
"So I'm having my second youth. I'm doing all the things I've always wanted to."
