The chart-topping rap star knows that some people think she's "crazy", but she insists she takes her faith very seriously and she prays "hard".
Cardi, 28 - who has Kulture, two, with rapper Offset - wrote on Twitter: "No funny ish I know ya think I’m crazy and I know I’m ghetto a** hell but I pray maa hard .My faith in God is too strong .When I feel tried I don’t know if Is the devil playing tricks or God testing my faith but I show I don’t switch sides.I pray with a passion to my Lord . (sic)"
The 'WAP' hitmaker also posted a quote about god on her Twitter account.
The quote read: "You better WATCH those people that BOUNCE BACK from EVERYTHING that was meant to DESTROY them, Those people are God's people and they are NOT to be played with (sic)"
Earlier this month, Cardi revealed she still suffers nightmares about her school days.
The rap star is now one of the world's best-selling music artists, but Cardi admits she still has scary flashbacks to her time in school.
She wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "I hate having nightmares of me failing a test or being back in highschool wit no shoes on in the hallway. It’s the weirdest thing .... Ya get those type of dreams? (sic)"
One of Cardi's followers subsequently admitted to having nightmares about not graduating from school.
And in response, Cardi - who attended Renaissance High School for Musical Theater & Technology in New York - wrote: "YAAAASSS I F****** HATE THOSE TOO.I be having panic attacks in my sleep specially cause I almost didn’t graduate cause of a gym credit IN REAL LIFE ! (sic)"
