The 22-year-old model has reportedly ended her romance with the popstar - who she is thought to have started dating in February this year - after the singer claimed the pair were too busy to commit to one another.
Although the couple were spotted enjoying Burberry's catwalk show in Los Angeles together just last week, a source from the set of Cara's upcoming movie 'Suicide Squad' has since told The Sun newspaper: "You can tell she's been upset and distracted this week.
"It might have been early days but she was head over heels in love with this girl. They had a real connection.
"But Vincent thought she was always coming second to Cara's career and wanted more.
"Cara was shocked though, it's left her heartbroken."
The blonde beauty alluded to the split on her Instagram account where she wrote alongside a picture of a sad-faced cartoon holding a heart: "It's hurting again".
Cara - who split from actress Michelle Rodriguez last May after four months of dating - had grown close to the 'Digital Wellness' hitmaker, whose real name is Annie Clark, after they were spotted partying together after the BRIT Awards in London.
They were also said to have been "super lovey-dovey" on a night out in March with their pal Zoe Kravtiz.
