Calvin Harris has said he doesn't like getting into romantic relationships with celebrity women.
The hitmaker insists that his time is up dating females in the public eye following his public split with Rita Ora, whom he dated for over 12 months.
"I don't like celebrity women, nah" he said speaking on Capital FM.
Forced to pull out of a performance this past weekend at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards due to a heart scare, he opened up on the radio show about his decision to hit back at Rita's comments about their relationship.
Rita said she was "angry" after being banned from performing hit single 'I Will Never Let You Down' at this year's Teen Choice Awards.
Speaking about their falling out Calvin explained: "You get so many lies stacking up against you, there's a point where you're just like, 'Oh man, I've got to say something'.
"Because it was just like, 'Oh come on, stop it!' So I did that - it didn't really do any good, I probably shouldn't have really done it."
During a radio interview in August Rita said that her formerr boyfriend stopped her performing the track but claimed that the move didn't surprise her.
Calvin at the time tweeted in response: "You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life (sic)
"But just know I had a damn good reason (sic)"
