The 'I Am Cait' star - previously known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - was initially worried and nervous about exposing herself in swimwear, but now she has done it she felt she looked "pretty good".

She said: "It's kind of scary because, you know, you're exposing yourself. I'm about as nervous as can possibly be right now."

However, once she was in the pool with the support of her friends - who were cheering her on - Caitlyn soon became confident and described the whole experience as "freeing".

She said: "Ok, I did it. I got the bathing suit on. It was nerve-racking, but it felt very freeing. And I did see my reflection in the glass door - looked pretty good."

During the previous episode, the 65-year-old E! star aired her concerns about wearing a swimming costume and said that's somewhere she has "got to get and it's going to take time".

The former 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star previously said on 'I Am Cait': "This process of coming out doesn't happen overnight. There are so many hurdles to overcome. Every day it seems like, 'What about a bathing suit?' See, I can't even say it.

"It's hard for it just to come out saying 'a bathing suit.' But that's where I got to get and it's going to take time."

She added: "I don't think I'm ready for that. You have to realise these girls transitioned years and years and years ago. I just don't know if I'm ready to expose myself like that.

"Maybe down the line I'll feel more comfortable with myself but right now I just can't see myself doing."
