Bryan Cranston is to produce Finding Neverland on Broadway.
The actor's best known for his roles in Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle as well as sitcom Seinfeld, but has now been brought in to produce the Harvey Weinstein-led stage show.
Speaking to the New York Post newspaper, a source explained: "Rarely do celebrities invest in projects, so this is a big sign of (Bryan's) faith in the show."
Cranston has in the past won a Tony for Best Actor, as LBJ in the Weinstein-produced stage show All The Way.
Earlier this week, Bryan was in London to meet Gary Barlow who previewed songs from the forthcoming show.
Meanwhile, Weinstein has been courting British entertainer James Corden for a role in a separate Broadway musical - Around The World In 80 Days.
The pair are reported to have discussed the project at Weinstein's Oscars party, with Corden hearing some of the tunes the show will feature.
