Sylvester Stallone has lashed out at Bruce Willis for dropping out of 'The Expendables 3'.
The 67-year-old actor branded the 'Diehard' star, 58, "greedy and lazy" after hinting Bruce, who appeared in the first two 'Expendables' films alongside a string of other action heroes including Sylvester, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham, has been replaced in the upcoming movie by Harrison Ford.
Writing on his Twitter profile on Tuesday (06.08.13), Sylvester vented: "WILLIS OUT... HARRISON FORD IN!!!! GREAT NEWS!!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!"
He added: "GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE"
A spokesperson for the actor confirmed to the Huffington Post that the tweet was about Bruce but declined to comment further.
The film is set to begin shooting later this month and will reportedly also see Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson and Milla Jovovich join the cast.
Producer Sylvester revealed in March he was hoping to cast some "young bloods", as well as finding a female lead who can encapsulate the "tough" feel of the film.
He wrote on Twitter: " Writing EX3 at the moment... EX3 needs NEW blood and more humour.....By young I mean 22 to 27. Not big bruisers but tech wizard, super brains and a young woman who is not a sex symbol but funny ,tough,REAL (Sic)"
