Brittny Gastineau was allegedly viciously assaulted by her boyfriend.
The 31-year-old model and socialite - who is best friends with Kim Kardashian - reportedly got into a heated altercation with famous graffiti artist Marquis Lewis, who goes by the name Retna, at the London Hotel in West Hollywood last week, but his lawyer insists it was "a case of mutual combat."
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the former reality TV star, who was spotted with a black eye and cut on her face on Tuesday night (10.06.14), was hospitalised for her injuries and spoke to police there.
The brunette beauty - who first found fame on the 2005 E! series 'The Gastineau Girls' with her mother, Lisa Gastineau, has hired Lindsay Lohan's former representative, Shawn Holley.
However, Retna's lawyer, Michael Goldstein, insists his client was also seriously injured during the incident.
The 35-year-old artist - who has worked with Louis Vuitton and Nike in the past - checked into the hotel on June 2 after undergoing major surgery on his knee and is said to be unable to walk without crutches.
Goldstein said: "Retna was not the aggressor."
He claims Retna and Brittny are in the process of settling their dispute, adding: "They're cool with each other."
