Britney Spears reportedly feels confident enough to regain full control of her life and finances.
The 'Piece of Me' hitmaker - who recently completed a 248 show residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas - is said to have made "tremendous" progress over the last few years in getting to a position where she is ready to take charge.
An insider told Us Weekly: "She is feeling confident enough to take control of her life again. The progress Britney has made just in the last several years has been tremendous."
Indeed, it's reported that Britney is in such a strong mental state that she could ask for her father Jamie's conservatorship over her to be removed.
The source added: "Britney has been told by her advisors that the best chance of it being lifted is if her co-conservators and doctors believe it's in her best interest."
It's said that the proud mum of 12-year-old Sean and 11-year-old Jayden is hoping her 28-date world tour - which kicks off in July this year - will be another moment of proof that she is in a much healthier place.
The insider said: "It's Britney's hope that after the tour, Jamie will agree to have a discussion about ending the conservatorship of her as a person."
It comes after the star added two new dates to her final 'Piece of Me Tour' due to phenomenal demand.
The 'Oops... I Did It Again' hitmaker will now perform extra shows in Atlantic City, NJ Borgata and a second London gig at The O2 arena after tickets sold out in seconds.
The pop megastar has been performing the same concert since it opened at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in December 2013 to rave reviews, and will give fans around the world one last chance to see her entertain the same set list and production.
