Britney Spears has introduced her sons to her new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol.
The singer recently started dating the television director and producer, and decided to let him meet nine-year-old Sean and eight-year-old Jayden after her parents gave her new beau their stamp of approval.
An insider told PEOPLE magazine: "They are very excited that she is dating Charlie. He does well financially and is very private. They don't have to worry about whether he is using Britney.
"He is driven, smart and ambitious."
Britney and legal researched David Lucado split in August amid rumours that he cheated, and despite her being smitten with Charlie now, she's determined to take things slowly.
The source continued: "It's new. They've been spending time together and taking it slowly.
"Britney was very emotional after splitting with David. She trusted him and was very hurt when he cheated on her."
Their romance is said to already be heating up, with Britney admitting she has "someone special" in her life and sharing pictures of herself and Charlie on Instagram.
Last week Britney revealed: "Yes there is a special someone. It's very new.", and the insider added: "She has been in the best mood. She finds him cute and funny. She loves having someone to share her life with."
