Britney Spears' Las Vegas residency is reportedly already off to a poor start, with ticket sales worryingly low ahead of her opening night in December.
Britney Spears has a two-year deal for a series of concerts entitled 'Britney: Piece of Me' at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino can only be disappointed with ticket sales reportedly a "disaster" with only three of the first 16 dates selling out ahead of her December 27 opening night.
An insider said: "After spending hundreds of thousands on promo, they expected to instantly sell out all of the first 16 shows, but they didn't come close!
"In fact, Britney only sold out three of the 16 shows put on sale and many are considering this a disaster."
The source compared past residencies of Celine Dion and Shania Twain which all sold out for their first block of shows right away, heaping the pressure on Spears.
They added: "There are nearly 50 shows a year and the theater is small ... It only holds about 4,500 people ... So all of this put together really isn't looking well for Britney.
"Ticket sales need to start skyrocketing or else there's going to be a lot of disappointed investors and people involved with the show."
