Briana Jungwirth is reportedly in labour.

The Los Angeles-based stylist - who is having One Direction star Louis Tomlinson's first child - is said to be in hospital, with her mother and grandmother spreading the news to their family and friends, The Sun newspaper reports.

The news will no doubt please the 24-year-old singer as he can't wait to be a hands on dad from the start.

A source said: "Louis and Briana have spent a lot of time together and are really close. Louis really cares about Briana and thinks she will be a great mum. Their friendship has got even stronger though this.

"Louis is being very protective of her and making sure she takes it easy ... Louis is really excited about becoming a dad."

Simon Cowell, who founded One Direction when he decided to put the 'Night Changes' hitmakers - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis and former bandmate Zayn Malik - together on the UK series of 'The X Factor', has also been offering parenting advice to the singer.

The 56-year-old music mogul shared previously: "I just said enjoy it. If I had been his age and someone had said you're going to have a baby, I'm not sure how I would have coped with it but he did call me and I said when you've embraced it you'll be amazed how much you are going to love it and it will change your life for the better. And that's it."
