The pair originally met on the set of 2005 movie 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' and have teamed up once again on the upcoming drama. The film is also directed by Angelina, but Brad insists she didn't let him off the hook if he failed to deliver on any scenes.

Brad said: "Angelina knows very well, what she wants and I don't get any special treatment on set. As an actor you need a good relationship to the filmmaker to trust blindly and let yourself fall into it. We know each other so well, just one gaze from her and I know, I f****d up this scene."

The couple are parents to six children together - biological twins Vivienne and Knox and daughter Shiloh, and adopted children Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

Their professional and personal schedules keep them incredibly busy and Brad says the decision to star in 'By the Sea' together was a particularly practical one.

He added in the interview with Glamour Germany: "We talked about trying something very special for a couple of years. An independent project without much pressure, a family issue.

"It was a good idea for practical reasons. If one of us is working, the other one is taking care of the kids and we loose a lot of time together. I didn't think that working with her would mean so much to me - it's so much fun."

The movie, which tells the story of a couple battling to save their relationship, has so far received lacklustre reviews. But Brad is keen to work with his wife on screen again in the future.

He concluded: "I think that her career as a filmmaker is just starting. If she wants me for another job, I would certainly say one thing and that is, 'Yes'."
