The forensic investigation into the 22-year-old aspiring starlet's death last July - almost six months after she was found unresponsive in her bath - had initially been kept under wraps because of possible foul play, but now a judge in Georgia has ordered the documents be unsealed.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Henry Newkirk granted a motion filed by media organisations, who had argued the order to seal the results violated the state and federal constitutions and court rules because there was no public notification or opportunity for a hearing.
The state argued the law exempts records sealed by court order, and Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard admitted in a statement he felt the records should remain sealed but said he would follow the instructions of the court.
Prosecutors opposed the release of the report, arguing in court documents that it would "compromise the integrity" of an ongoing criminal investigation into Bobbi Kristina's death.
Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend Nick Gordon has been accused by her estate of playing a part in "rendering her unconscious" by plying her with a "toxic cocktail".
The singer's co-conservator Bedelia Hargrove has filed a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit against Nick, who shared a home with Bobbi - the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston - and discovered her body in a bathtub in January.
Nick has filed to have the lawsuit dismissed with his lawyers claiming it contains "several unsupported conclusory, untrue, criminal accusations".
