Bindi Irwin has described her husband Chandler Powell as the "light of her life".
The 22-year-old conservationist shared a gushing Instagram tribute to her "extraordinary" partner as the pair get set to welcome a baby daughter.
She captioned the post: "Every day I'm thankful for this extraordinary man I get to call my husband.
"I love you with all of my heart. You're the light of my life."
Bindi and Chandler were married in a makeshift ceremony at Australia Zoo in March last year just before the coronavirus lockdown took effect in the country.
The couple confirmed their baby news in August and then revealed that they were expecting a daughter the following month.
Bindi recently explained how she felt that her late father Steve Irwin - who passed away in 2006 after being pierced in the heart by a stingray barb whilst filming a documentary – would have been a "good grandpa".
She said: "[Dad] would’ve been a good grandpa. I don’t think we would’ve ever seen our daughter. He would’ve just whisked her away into the zoo and it would’ve been perfect."
And her mother, Terri Irwin, agreed, saying Steve would be “over the moon” about the impending arrival.
She added: "He’d be over the moon. I will say one thing for sure is you would never have to wonder what he would’ve worn during any of the milestones. He would’ve worn khaki to the wedding, khaki to everything."
Bindi also explained how she will introduce her daughter to Steve via his television work such as the 'Crocodile Hunter' series.
She explained: "It is so nice that we’ll be able to introduce her to her grandfather through all of the documentaries."
