Big Boi is facing a custody battle with his estranged wife.
The Outkast rapper's spouse Sherlita Patton allegedly filed divorce papers on Wednesday (02.10.13) in which she is demanding sold custody of their 12-year-old son, Cross.
According to TMZ, Sherlita claims her 11-year marriage to the 'Hey Ya' singer - whose real name is Antwan André Patton - is "irretrievably broken".
She is seeking full custody of their youngest child plus full child support. Sherlita also wants spousal support and a split of the marital assets and attorney's fees, the documents obtained by AJC.com state.
The couple - who wed in February 2002 - also have an 18-year-old daughter, Jordan, who recently finished high school.
There were no signs of fighting back in May at Jordan's graduation ceremony, where the whole family - including Big Boi's son Bamboo from a previous relationship - were on hand to celebrate her big day.
The hip-hop star recently revealed he was in talks with his Outkast bandmate Andre 3000 about getting back together to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album next year.
He said: "It's 20 years, man. We started out at 15, 16 years old. We made our first album when we were 17 years old. Twenty-five million records later, seven Grammys, I feel great."
