Ayda Field joked Robbie Williams is "frozen in Take That time" after he acted like an excited teenager on a trip to the supermarket.
The 36-year-old American actress was shocked to see her British pop star husband - who shot to fame in the boy band in the mid-90s - erupt with delight when they went to buy food to stock their fridge and cupboards.
Ayda claims it was Robbie's first trip to a store in years and if it were up to him they would dine on takeaway chicken every day.
During an appearance on 'Loose Women', Ayda spilled: "If it was up to Rob we'd be eating Nando's and salad cream through morning noon and night. Rob is now 42, for the first time I took him to the supermarket. He is like a 15 year old boy - he's just frozen in Take That time. He literally had no idea. He was like, 'This is amazing, they've got everything.' I was like, 'That's what you do at the supermarket.' It was a revelation to him!"
The loved-up couple married in 2010 and have two children, daughter Teddy, three, and 16-month-old son Charlton, together.
Despite his lack of culinary and domestic skills, Ayda - who grew up in California - insists Robbie is great at his dad duties.
She revealed: "He's really good with the kids - he changes nappies, he goes to 'mummy and me' with us, he does really good daddy stuff. He does 'Wheels On The Bus' but it was funny though - Teddy said to him the other day, she said, 'Papa if you sing again, I'm going to put you in time out.' "
