Avril Lavigne is reported to be suffering from issues with her health.
The singer hasn't been seen publicly since September and has apparently reached out to a fan on Twitter to tell them she's been unwell, but not disclosed how she's been feeling.
Directly messaging AvrilMusicChart on the social media platform, she wrote on Sunday December 7: "I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I've been absent.
"I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers. (sic)"
Though the singer hasn't confirmed the legitimacy of the messages or commented on those problems further, she did respond to the Twitter account to say "thank you" when they sent well wishes.
The health woes come a few months after speculation her marriage was in trouble.
Her husband Chad Kroeger later laughed off those rumours, admitting even his family had been forced to worry about their relationship due to the reports.
He explained: "You know my dad calls me up and he's just like, 'I haven't slept in two days, what's going on?' I'm like, 'Dad you're not buying all this c**p are you?' You know, I get to hear all the rumour mill stuff. So it's, it's...I find it very amusing."
