The 30-year-old actress and fashion designer is believed to have ended her brief romance with the 58-year-old financier earlier this year after just five months of dating, according to US Weekly.
The Californian star reportedly called time on her relationship because she is desperate to focus on her fashion projects, including the Elizabeth and James company she co-founded with her twin sister Mary-Kate.
However, the blonde beauty has sparked rumours the pair have remained friends since they decided to go their separate ways as they were spotted enjoying a lunch together in Chinatown in New York, earlier this month, and enjoyed a holiday in St. Barts with her sibling and her husband Olivier Sarkozy.
The 'New York Minute' star has made it known she has a strong work ethic and struggles to take a break from her busy schedule to have a rest.
Speaking previously, she said: "I've always been a worker. It has taken me a lot to figure out how to take a vacation."
Ashley and Richard first set tongues wagging they had started dating after the pair enjoyed a steamy work out class at Flywheel Flatiron in New York last year, much to the surprise of other attendees who were taken aback by how close the duo were during the session.
Speaking previously, a source said: "They sat in the front row of the spin class and rode on bikes next to each other. They were affectionate after the class, despite being sweaty. She covered up in a big jacket and huge black sunglasses.
"They were canoodling and cuddly when they left holding hands. He looked like he could be twice her age. There's no way that's his natural hair colour."
