Armie Hammer is no longer posting pictures of his children on social media.
The 34-year-old actor has two children - Harper, six, and Ford, three - with his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers, and has said he’s made it his New Year’s Resolution to stop posting pictures of his brood online, because he wants to do more to keep them “safe”.
Armie made the announcement as he posted a picture of his New Year’s get together with family members in the Cayman Islands, with his kids notably missing from the snap.
He captioned the image: “Free at last! (With my kids but as a New Years resolution I will not be posting pictures of my children for their safety and for their well-being) (sic)”
The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ star’s caption refers to the end of his 14-day quarantine period, which he endured after arriving in the Cayman Islands in December so that he could safely see his family without the risk of spreading coronavirus.
Armie had spent the early weeks of the pandemic in the Islands - where he grew up - before he and Elizabeth announced their split in July, when he then flew back to California whilst the 38-year-old actress and their children stayed in the Islands.
In a statement announcing their split, Armie and Elizabeth said: “Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents. It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage. As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority. We understand this news lends itself to public dialogue, but in the interest of our children and our family, we’re asking for privacy, compassion and love during this time.”
