Ariana Grande is launching an animal rescue charity.
The ‘Positions’ hitmaker has announced she is set to launch a new non-profit based in Los Angeles named Orange Twins Rescue, as she posted on Twitter to let her fans know the rescue centre would have a working website “soon”.
Posting a cute graphic of the charity’s logo, she wrote: we are so happy, proud and excited our site comin soon follow @/orangetwinsrescue on instagram for more
“our twitter is @Orangetwinssave (sic)”
As of the time of writing, no other information is known about the project, and the Twitter account has only posted one tweet so far, which informs people that the company’s website is “coming soon”.
Ariana is a known animal lover, and is thought to have adopted more than 10 rescue dogs over the years.
On Instagram, Ariana has posted pics of Toulouse - a Chihuahua/beagle mix who famously accompanied the musician on her Vogue cover in 2019 - and Pignoli in the past, among many other furry friends, all of whom are believed to be adopted from rescue centres.
The ‘God is a Woman’ singer is also no stranger to charitable deeds, as back in March, she reportedly used money transferring app Venmo to send much needed cash to fans who have been hit hard by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has caused some people to lose their jobs as a result of needing to self-isolate and stay at home.
Numerous fans reported being sent payments ranging from $500 to $1,500, with some saying Ariana has been doing the kind deed in secret for several days.
One fan said at the time that Ariana “reached out and took care of my salary for the month.”
