Ariana Grande has called off her performance at Lisbon's Rock in Rio festival.
The 22-year-old singer revealed that she had been "crying for hours" after being forced to axe her performance at the music festival on medical advice when she developed a throat and sinus infection.
She wrote on Instagram: "I'm deeply saddened to tell my babes in Portugal that I have to cancel my performance at Rock in Rio (I've literally been crying over this for an hour.) I have a throat & sinus infection & my doctors have advised me not to sing for a few days.
"I promise to make it up to you and give you the best show I'm capable of when I return. Again, I'm so sorry to the babes who were coming to see me. I love you with all my heart."
Meanwhile, Ariana recently confirmed that she is dating backing dancer and the pair are "very happy" together.
She said: "We're happy. I'm a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that's all anyone cares to know. The end."
The singer was won over by Ricky's gentlemanly ways and 'Moonlight', the opening track on her new album, 'Dangerous Woman', was inspired by one of his affectionate names for her.
Ariana's friend and co-writer Victoria Monet said: "That's what Ricky called her one night. I think it was after their first kiss.
"He waited to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed. He's such a gentleman, and the song is a great little bookmark of the start of their relationship."
