Angie Bowie doesn't yet know her ex-husband David Bowie has died.
The 66-year-old former model is currently taking part in British reality TV show 'Celebrity Big Brother' but her future in the house is hanging in the balance after the legendary singer, who she was married to from 1970 until 1980, passed away on Sunday (10.01.16) aged 69 following an 18-month-old battle with cancer.
But she will be told off camera today (11.01.16) about his passing at the "earliest opportunity".
A spokesman for Channel 5 told BANG Showbiz: "Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death this morning, we can confirm that Angie Bowie will be informed off camera today at the earliest opportunity. We will update further once this has taken place."
Since entering the house Angie has not been shy to speak about her ex-husband and even accused him of turning their 44-year-old son Duncan Jones against her.
When asked by David Gest - a fellow housemate on the show - if she's close to her son, she replied: "No, I don't see him at all, he doesn't like me. But my daughter likes me. I guess David told him not to [talk to me]. It does seem odd."
Angie - who has 35-year-old daughter Stacia from her relationship with Andrew Lipka - previously revealed she had gone to "great lengths" to avoid the music icon since their split.
She said: "I go to great lengths to avoid him. Did you think I was going to be polite, to be nice, so that people like me? No. It was terrible when we broke up, it was awful. He came to visit at first, and then he didn't want to visit me any more."
