George Michael's Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley is opposed to anyone releasing the late singer's unheard music without prior consent.
The chart-topping pop star passed away on Christmas Day and shortly after his death, Fadi Fawaz shared a link to one of the shelved tracks that featured on 'Trojan Horse', entitled 'This Kind of Love'.
The single was reportedly produced with Sir Elton John in 1991 and was due to be released two years later, but the compilation was never entirely completed for legal reasons.
However, the decision to release the track has angered Andrew, who does not believe anyone should be publishing George's work unless they were previously given permission to do so.
Fadi recently tweeted: "My Baby (sic)" alongside a link to a page containing the track and other music from the late star.
Yet Andrew was quick to criticise Fadi's behaviour, saying that he had no right to share the music without George's consent.
Andrew tweeted: "GM controlled all his output. I, nor anyone else have the right to transgress that principle. (sic)"
The lyrics to George's track are: "Now everyone has to get over I know. But this empty house seems to get colder and colder. So won't you stay here with me?
"Now that I found you. I can't let you go.
"Don't have to be so scared, don't have to hide what you can, you just have to believe in this kind of love
"Everybody's telling me that these are dangerous times. For you and me, can't you see baby?"
