Andrew Brady has paid an emotional tribute to his ex-girlfriend Caroline Flack, almost a year after she passed away.
The 'Love Island' presenter devastatingly took her own life on February 15 2020 at the age of 40 and her former partner has posted a tribute to her to insist she "didn't deserve" the hurt she experienced.
He wrote on Instagram on Sunday (14.02.21): "TOMORROW is the 1-year anniversary of Caroline’s death, the person I loved more than anyone I ever thought possible ... Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her, I have some truly incredible memories of her etched on to my mind for eternity ... She was so hurt and she didn't deserve any of this. She really was that one in a billion who I will continue to love and miss until my last day on this weird little waking planet we live on. (sic)"
And Andrew went on to admit he was "so sorry for everything" he had done in the past, as he "forgave" her for everything she did too - admitting he'll never "forget" her but needs to "mend".
In the lengthy letter, he added: "Caroline you were one of a kind. You were so hurt. Tormented for years. Let down by so many people. If only people got to see the real you. Behind closed doors, it would make sense to them all. You taught me so much and made me feel that heroine type love that you can’t escape. Even now. I am so sorry for everything I did and I forgive you for everything you did. I won’t forget you but I need to mend. I hope I don’t have to say any more on the matter."
Andrew also urged others who are struggling with their mental health to reach out.
He said: "You owe it to yourself, you beautiful person. TOMORROW could be the best day of your life, but it’s down to you to make that happen. Go and make it happen! (sic)"
