Amy Schumer didn't have sex until she was 17.
The 'Trainwreck' star insists all her friends were "acting out sexually" years before she was, while she retained her innocence throughout most of her teenage years.
She said: "I was always boy crazy, but I wasn't promiscuous.
"[My friends] were acting out sexually years before me. I loved being around that, but I didn't have sex until I was seventeen. And I didn't give a blow job until I was well into college.
"I'm sure I had some sort of d**k in my mouth, but I wasn't performing sex acts until later."
But during her days as a student at Towson University in Maryland, Amy adopted a different attitude and, taking inspiration from 'Sex and the City's maneater Samantha Jones, decided not to get "attached" to anyone and slept with a series of men in quick succession.
She told America's Vogue magazine: "I lost my self-esteem my freshman year. I think I was maybe in the 25th percentile in hotness. And then in my sophomore year, I probably had sex with six guys, and I was like, maybe I'm like Samantha in 'Sex and the City' and I'll just keep this train movin' so that I don't get attached to anybody.
"I always thought that sex was funny. I was always interested in it."
These days, the 35-year-old star is in a relationship with furniture designer Ben Hanisch and couldn't be happier with him.
She gushed: "We're in love. And we're still in total honeymoon phase. It's a real relationship. Who knows what will happen, but we're real good right now."
And Amy won't poke fun at her 29-year-old boyfriend in her comedy shows unless he gives her his approval.
She said: "If I am going to tell a joke about my boyfriend or his mom, I'll make sure that they're OK with it. I'm not like Nora Ephron - everything's copy. For me, everything's copy if friends and family approve."
