The 'Trainwreck' star admits she'd really love to have a family but isn't sure how "realistic" the idea is.
Speaking to Barbara Walters for her Most Fascinating People of 2015 segment, she said: "I would love those things, but I don't really see it for myself. I hope that happens, but I don't know how realistic it is."
Family is incredibly important to the 34-year-old comedienne and she has revealed she keeps everyone smiling despite her father's multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis.
She shared: "He was in physical pain. That's when I kind of took the lead and took care of everybody in my family. I would keep them - I would keep everybody laughing. I'm the one who ties it all together.
"He's not good. Some days he's really good and he's with it and we're joking around. And some days I go to visit my dad, and it's so painful. I can't believe it."
Amy also previously revealed she was inspired by her own story for hit film 'Trainwreck', where her on-screen father has MS.
She said: "There is no denying that there is a lot of me in this movie. I, as they say, went there. It's really personal.
"It's about stuff I was struggling with and am constantly battling."
