Amy Schumer shut down production on a film for a week after she got bronchitis.
The 'Trainwreck' star was filming with Goldie Hawn in Hawaii when the respiratory disease struck, forcing producers to cancel filming for seven days as she recovered in hospital.
She said: "I just finished filming a movie, I was in Hawaii all summer with Goldie Hawn ... I got really sick there. I got bronchitis, and I was exhausted, I was in the hospital, we had to stop shooting for a whole week.
"It was rock bottom. I couldn't speak. I coughed so hard I fractured my own ribs. So, that still kind of smarts."
And the 35-year-old actress and comedienne doesn't think she'll be heading back to Hawaii soon as she revealed they are big fans of hiking there whereas she likes to stay on the beach.
Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she added: "I was sick the whole time! First of all, I'm from here (New York), so I like to sit and not move on holiday.
"And, everyone hikes there in Hawaii. They're so healthy. Like, dogs hike, cats hike. I was bedridden. I was too sick. Hawaii didn't totally agree with me."
Meanwhile, Amy recently revealed she is a "a classic textbook introvert".
Writing in her new book 'The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo', she shares: "It might be surprising for you to learn that most of my days are spent alone, unless I am on set, which is crazy draining for an introvert.
"I think realising that about myself and not fighting it, but instead just taking care of myself and letting myself recharge and having time on my own and also planning for that has made me better and able to do more.
"I can be there and super present and giving and then if it's, 'So, now we're going here.' And I'm like, immediately, 'I KNOW I can't do that.' It's not because I'm famous, it's because I have to be alone and be quiet. It's cool when you realise you can say no."
