Amy Adams took her husband to her sister's wedding after they'd been dating for just two weeks.
The 42-year-old actress married Darren Le Gallo - with whom she has six-year-old daughter Aviana - in 2015, but prior to tying the knot with him she took the actor, also 42, to the important family event because she knew there was "something about him".
Speaking on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', the 'Arrival' star said: "We'd been dating for about two weeks, and I thought, 'There's something about him, I really like him,' and I was like, 'Well, before I can figure out if this is going to go any further I might as well,' and I brought him to my sister's wedding. And he survived!"
Show host Stephen then noted it was a big decision to make after just two weeks, but Amy insists Darren was "wonderful" at the event.
She added: "He survived, and he survived in a wonderful way. They all like him, and he sat through the two-hour sing-a-long, and anybody who can put up with my family's sing-a-longs [is a keeper]."
Meanwhile the 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' actress - who has six siblings in total - spoke about meal times in her family, and said she still gets defensive if her husband tries to take some of her food.
She said: "[As a kid] I never ate fast enough to get seconds. And still to this day if someone tries to go after my food I get kinda mad. Like my husband, we know we have to cut the food in half. I'm like, 'If you want some, here. That's your third.' There's no like, if he reaches over it's like he's really violated some pact."
