'American Horror Story' will return this summer once its new spin-off series has wrapped-up its first run.
The new series of Ryan Murphy's hugely popular anthology show - which is titled 'Double Feature' - will be back later this year following the launch of 'American Horror Stories'.
FX Networks chief John Landgraf said: "Coming in July, exclusively for FX on Hulu is 'American Horror Stories', a spin-off of our long-running, award-winning hit series 'American Horror Story'.
"'American Horror Stories' is a weekly anthology series that will feature a different horror story each episode."
Once that ends, the 'Double Feature' main series will kick off, with the final part of its 10-episode run set to air on Halloween (31.10.21).
Filming kicked off in October last year after production was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock are all poised to return to the franchise.
They will be joined by series newcomer Macaulay Culkin, and Ryan previously revealed how he convinced the 'Home Alone' actor to sign up.
He explained: "I asked to speak to him on the phone and he said okay. [When] I cast, I never let people read things, usually.
"I said, 'OK, here's the pitch.' And I told them the character and I told him he has crazy, erotic sex with Kathy Bates and does other things.
"And he paused and he goes, 'This sounds like the role I was born to play.' So, he signed up right then and there."
While exact plot details are being kept under wraps, the show's creator gave fans a hint of what to expect when he revealed the 'Double Feature' title as he seemingly confirmed there will be two key settings.
He teased: "Two horrifying stories … one season. One by the sea … One by the sand. More to come…”
