Amanda Seyfried refused to appear fully nude in 'Lovelace' because she wanted to "save something" for her future husband.
The 27-year-old actress plays infamous porn star Linda Lovelace in the new biopic - which focuses on her life in the adult industry and the notoriety she achieved through starring in 'Deep Throat' - and despite shooting several risqué sex scenes, she drew the line at being completely naked on camera.
The screen beauty - who is believed to be currently single - said: "There's no full-frontal nudity. I want to save something for my husband!"
Seyfried insists the film's sex scenes weren't as "graphic" as viewers may expect and she laughed her way through naughty parts with her co-star Peter Sarsgaard using an usual prop to recreate some sex acts.
In an interview with Total Film magazine, she explained: "It really wasn't that graphic. I used a popsicle to simulate going down on him and I was laughing the entire time. The way the film is shot, it looks sexual but it didn't feel that sexual or invasive while we were doing those scenes.
"What's great about Peter is that he's the easiest person to do anything with. You can be like, 'Drop your pants' and he'll just shrug and say, 'Alright.' "
Although the bedroom scenes didn't worry her, Amanda admits she and Peter both struggled with the filming violent domestic abuse scenes between her character and husband Chuck Traynor.
She said: "The violence was really much more of an issue for him and also for me to react to. I had to go someplace else to get through those scenes."
