Amanda Bynes is planning to move out of her parents' home.
The 28-year-old actress, who sought treatment in rehab last year and was placed under her mother Lynn Bynes' care via a temporary conservatorship following months of erratic behaviour, is looking for a new apartment in Orange County, California so she can be closer to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) campus there, where she began studying fashion design in January.
A source told E! News that the 'Easy A' star is currently on her summer holidays, but wants to secure a new place in time for her next term so she no longer has to commute from her parents' home, which is located 80 miles away, on a daily basis.
The insider said she hopes to spend four days a week at the property and the other three at her family's house in Thousand Oaks in northwest Los Angeles.
Earlier this week, Amanda learned that she won't be punished for allegedly throwing a marijuana bong out her apartment window in New York City last year after she complied with a deal to stay out of trouble for six months and attend counselling twice a week.
The 'Hairspray' beauty was charged with tampering with physical evidence, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of marijuana in May 2013 after she allegedly threw a bong from the 36th floor of her apartment in front of arresting officers after her neighbours complained she was smoking drugs in the building.
