Alicia Vikander Is 'All About Love'

Alicia Vikander's New Year is "all about love".

The 'Danish Girl' actress is smitten with her boyfriend Michael Fassbender and had a great time celebrating the beginning of 2016 with him.

Asked what she did on the stroke of midnight, she said: "I think I kissed my boyfriend.

"It's all about love, starting the New Year."

The couple enjoyed a low-key night in with the 'Shame' star, admitting they couldn't party too hard because the 27-year-old actress has to jet off to the Palm Springs International Film Festival at the weekend.

Asked how they celebrated New Year's Eve (31.12.15), she told E! News: "It was not a very, very late night because I had to fly here [to Palm Springs], but we had a grill going, cooked some pasta, made a good dinner, watched some fireworks.

"We counted down until midnight. It was great!"

The 'Ex Machina' actress recently admitted she finds her success "overwhelming".

She said: "A lot of the films are coming out during the same time, so it's been a bit overwhelming. I'm scared of overexposure, but really I'm just feeling very happy about the work I've done with people I admire. Finally, we can let the films out there and see them alive."
