Alexa Ray Joel has got engaged.

The 32-year-old singer/songwriter - the daughter of legendary musician Billy Joel, 68, and model Christie Brinkley, 63 - is to marry restaurateur Ryan Gleason after he popped the question, leaving the 'Notice Me' hitmaker "shell-shocked".
Alexa posted two pictures of herself and Ryan, writing: "He said to me: "Before I met you, my world was in black and white. You colored it in between the lines." It was the most beautiful thing anybody's ever said to me. How could I possibly say no to that?!?!
"So I was completely taken off-guard, dumbstruck, and shell-shocked- and FOR ONCE in my life, I had absolutely no words, and I couldn't speak... I just kept staring at this ridiculously exquisite ring- and he was just hysterically laughing at me!!! (sic)" She shared a close-up image of her engagement ring, and let her sparkler do the talking by post three emojis rather than a written caption.
Ryan also took to Instagram to show off Alexa's ring, writing: "Luckiest guy in the world!!!! (sic)"
Alexa's engagement comes just days after she turned 32 when Ryan gushed over her in a social media post.
He wrote on Instagram: "Happy Birthday to the strangest girl I know. You make this world such a better place. I love you so much! (sic)"
The brunette beauty celebrated her latest milestone with a birthday dinner arranged by her brother.
Captioning a picture of herself and her sibling, she wrote: "Alas, what an evening it was!The main fam {and our extended Parrot Cay family} spoiled me rotten... it was certainly more than I deserved. To echo Mom's sentiments: my birthday {and Lucky House, of course} was LIT with golden splendor! I was beyond honored to receive so many generous gifts, that I had to wear them all out last night (I'm not worthy, albeit- overflowing with gratitude).
