Adele rushed to help the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in west London on Wednesday (13.06.17).
The 29-year-old singer and her partner Simon Konecki were seen arriving as the fire still raged at the tower block where 17 people lost their lives, after a faulty fridge exploded inside the 27-story apartment building.
A witness spotted the star - who hails from Tottenham, north London - and shared a collage of pictures of her dressed in a black abaya and looking emotional, as she hugged local residents.
@FourMee wrote alongside the image: "Just spotted @Adele and Simon Konecki visiting the Grenfell Tower, she was dressed in an abaya. Respect to both of you. #Adele #grenfelltower #simonkonecki(sic)"
The user also shared the sighting on Twitter in the early hours of Thursday (15.06.17) morning and said the star was "hugging everyone" and doing her best to "comfort them".
She wrote: "Adele is at currently at Grenfell Tower asking if anyone needs help that was affected by the fire
"Adele was going around and hugging everyone she could to comfort them (sic)"
Elsewhere, fellow chart topper Rita Ora posted videos on her Instagram Story showing her at the scene in Ladbroke grove where she grew up, and said told her followers that she "used to play in that block" and wants to "do all she can" to help.
The 'Your Song' hitmaker was left "devastated" when she heard about the tragedy and also said: "This is my neighbourhood I can't believe this is happening.
"My prayers are with everybody involved my heart is beating so fast.
"I used to play in that block - I want to do all I can do to help. (sic)"
On Twitter, she added: "Shocked and devastated to hear this terrible news. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy in west London (sic)."
The 26-year-old pop star sorted through black sacks of clothing, food and water supplies, which were to be handed out to those who have been left homeless.
