Adele has quit drinking alcohol in a bid to save her singing voice.
The 27-year-old star - who released her third studio album, titled '25', earlier this year - has revealed she's heeded the advice of doctors by deciding to give up drinking.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: "I am not allowed to drink as it dehydrates my vocal chords.
"Alcohol blocks your ears when you get drunk and you get lairy, which makes you talk louder. I might raise my voice and my voice might go again."
Adele also recently admitted to overindulging on other unhealthy drinks.
She shared: "I used to drink 10 cups of tea a day with two sugars - 20 sugars a day. But I don't now and have more energy than ever."
Adele's decision to quit drinking comes in the same week the 'Hello' hitmaker admitted her son keeps her calm when she is working.
The Grammy Award-winning star - who has a three-year-old son called Angelo with her partner Simon Konecki - said: "The other day I was saying, 'Oh God, I'm finding this really hard again with a kid.'
"I have no time for myself because in between doing this, all my spare time is with him.
"But then I realised, he's been keeping me totally cool and calm about the whole thing."
