Adam Levine was reportedly "upset" when his car ran out of gas on Wednesday night (06.08.14).
The Maroon 5 frontman, who married Behati Prinsloo in Mexico last month, was driving on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles with his new wife when his classic '50s Mercedes SL rolled to a stop near The Comedy Store.
An eyewitness told gossip website TMZ.com that the Namibian model waited helplessly while a frantic Adam called a friend to ask him to stop at a nearby gas station and come to their rescue.
The source said he seemed very upset when people started recognising him and he left the scene as soon as his friend arrived with more gas.
Behati, 25, recently revealed she can't wait to start a family with the 'Misery' hitmaker.
She said that they have a "definite" plan to have children, but apart from that she has no expectations.
She explained: "I have no expectations. Not in a bad way, but I've learned that you can't plan ahead. I live day by day and see what happens. It's vague, but I like it that way."
The 'One More Night' hitmaker also previously admitted he was eager to become a dad.
During an interview in 2011, he said: "I don't think you necessarily have to be married to have children."
