Adam Levine has admitted to using his band to help him pick up girls during his high school years.
How times have changed for the Maroon 5 singer, who was recently named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, said he used to woo girls by handing them a concert flyer.
When asked by People magazine what his pick-up line was, he replied: "Pick up line? I would probably do something cowardly when I was young, like hand them a flyer or something stupid when I was in high school.
"I had to use the band, I had no game, it was really sad."
The US judge on 'The Voice' beat off stiff competition from the likes of 'Luther' actor Idris Elba, singer Justin Timberlake and retired soccer star David Beckham to the prestigious title.
On Tuesday night's (19.11.13) episode of 'The Voice', host Carson Daly announced Adam's big win to the studio audience, much to the singer's embarrassment.
The 34-year-old hunk, who is engaged to Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, said about the win: "I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."
