Aaron Carter’s fiancée is pregnant, nine months after she suffered a miscarriage.
The ‘I Want Candy’ hitmaker and Melanie Martin are set to become first-time parents as they have confirmed they’re expecting their first child together, just under a year after Melanie miscarried in June 2020.
In a video posted to Instagram, Aaron shared a close-up shot of two pregnancy tests, one which clearly indicated a positive result, and one which was still developing.
And in the clip, Aaron says: "This is the second one we're testing, because the first one came out like this [positive].”
Melanie then tells Aaron “you can see” the second line – which would indicate she is pregnant – and the singer replies: "Yeah, because you're pregnant.”
After a few more seconds have passed, the second line becomes more visible, and Aaron explains: "Well, that's for sure. Yeah, it's coming through, 100 percent."
The 33-year-old singer revealed Melanie’s miscarriage in June, after the couple had confirmed their pregnancy news back in April last year.
He said at the time: “She suffered a miscarriage due to stress conditions. We’re gonna give it some time, let her heal and then we’re going to try again. We both want that. I gotta take care of her.”
Meanwhile, Aaron previously said he was determined to be a "good dad”, and had said he and Melanie “planned” to get pregnant last year, despite only going public with their romance in January that year.
He added: "This is what we both want. We both were trying for it. I'm just focused on the future and being a dad. I want to be a good dad.
"I'm focused, my music career has been doing really well, and touring, having my clothing line out, all that stuff I have going for me that isn't necessarily just music. Family is most important to me.”
