The two southern hemisphere heavyweights go head-to-head in the Twickenham showpiece on Saturday, in what will almost certainly be All Blacks captain McCaw's final game.
Pocock is relishing the prospect of one last opportunity to take on 34-year-old McCaw, who is considered one of - if not the - best number seven in the history of the game.
"He's a player who's been at the top of his game for a long time and he's someone who's proven that he can perform to that level over lots and lots of Tests," he told reporters on Tuesday.
"So it's always a challenge and I'm really looking forward to it."
