Although 'Suicide Squad' director David Ayer is taking a belligerent attitude to DC haters, Will Smith is promoting peace and love in the superhero world like only he can.
Will plays assassin Deadshot in the blockbuster and he came out to say that what he loves most about the movie is that it is a celebration of "diversity" due to the eclectic cast and characters.
Speaking at the world premiere in New York, he said: "What I love about working with this group, as you see up on this stage, it's a rainbow. It's all races, creeds and colours. It's the diversity that this country is supposed to be about.
"I've made a lot of movies, and some of them you can't even count as movies. David Ayer said something that was really interesting: He said it's not a movie of good versus evil, it's a movie of bad versus evil, and this is one of the baddest casts in the whole damn world right here."
Will walked the carpet with his son Jaden Smith and the 18-year-old actor-and-rapper is most definitely a fan of the film.
In fact, Jaden - whose mother is Jada Pinkett Smith - told his dad that he might as well retire because this is the best movie he has made.
Will recalled: "Jaden called me and said, 'You don't ever have to work any more. It's done, you're never gonna do anything as good as 'Suicide Squad.' It's all downhill for you from here.' "
