Katy Perry was also affected by the news of Donald Trump's election.
Alongside a heart emoji and a set of hands in prayer, she wrote on Twitter: "Gonna cry my false eye lashes off tonight."
Before triumphantly adding in a series of tweets: "WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED. THE REVOLUTION IS COMING. RISE UP. POWER TO THE PEOPLE. WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED. #LOVETRUMPSHATE ... Do not sit still. Do not weep. MOVE. We are not a nation that will let HATE lead us. (sic)"
The 32-year-old singer also retweeted a series of messages from other Twitter, urging the electorate to "come together".
The messages read: "Be tired. Be mad. Be honest & concerned. But be not afraid. Rest up. Be safe. Come together. Construct. Know your surroundings. Be creative ... Lets put the evolution in revolution (sic)"
Meanwhile, Katy previously revealed her parents had voted for Trump and whilst she didn't agree with them, she called for unity.
Speaking at Hillary Clinton's election night party at the Javits Center in New York City before the results were revealed, she said: "Tonight my parents voted for Trump, but you know what? We will still all be sitting at the same table for Thanksgiving. And this is the moment we need to remember: that we all love our parents, and we all love our children. And I can rest easy knowing that both of my young nieces at home will never see themselves less than equal, anything other than equal.
"So, remember, today is not just a finish line. It also marks the beginning of all the work we must come together to do. We need everyone - gay, straight, black, white, brown, spray-tanned, people of faith and people that just love. So let's sing a song of unity. Let's be one nation indivisible with a kick-ass president."
