Beyonce turned 35 yesterday (04.09.16), capping off a great 2016 for the superstar.
The pop superstar celebrated her big day at the Made in America festival, but it was her fans who received the best gift as she dropped her 'Hold Up' video on YouTube, the first time it has been made available away from Tidal and HBO.
Beyonce kicked off a hugely successful period in February, when she stole the show at the Super Bowl half-time performance as a guest of Coldplay.
She joined the headliners and fellow performer Bruno at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California and gave a triumphant performance of her new song 'Formation'.
Beyonce's and her dancers, clad in black leather bodysuits, also enjoyed a dance off with Bruno, 30, as they sang his hit 'Uptown Funk'.
The 'Crazy in Love' superstar further ensured it was her night by announcing during the telecast that her 'Formation' world tour would launch on April 27th.
The following month, Beyonce unveiled her athleisure range, Ivy Park, for the first time.
The Spring/Summer 2016 collection, created with the Chairman of the Arcadia Group, Sir Philip Green, boasted 200 active wear pieces; from clothing and footwear to accessories, including leggings, crop tops, sweatshirts and jackets, inspired by her need for an athletic brand that complements her physique.
And in April, as well as heading out on the road, after a number of teasers, Beyonce released her visual album 'Lemonade' on HBO and Tidal, and fuelled speculation her husband Jay Z had been unfaithful with its revealing lyrical content and visual images.
In the hard-hitting clip, which sees the couple cuddling up to one another, the brunette beauty sings: "Looking at my watch he should have been home. I regret the day I put that ring on."
To add even more fuel to the fire, the curvaceous star belted out the lyrics, "My daddy warned me about men like you cause every promise, don't work out that way. Nothing seems to hurt like the smile on your face," before hinting that the 46-year-old rapper had got down and dirty with a mystery woman called Becky with "good hair" behind her back.
Just last month, Beyonce had an incredible night at the MTV Video Music Awards - at which she took her four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy as her date - as she picked up a staggering eight awards.
The brunette beauty paid tribute to her husband and their little girl as she bounded on to the stage following her intense 16-minute performance to collect her glistening award for the Video of the Year.
'Formation' - taken from 'Lemonade' - then went on to win Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Pop Video, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography, while her second single 'Hold Up' from the new album got Best Female Video.
The haul of moonmen brings her total to 22, overtaking Madonna, who previously held the record with 20 wins.
