People always think I’m about ten years younger than I really am - which I love. I won’t ever complain about this.
Indigo Lost is my first published book, but not the first I’ve written. It is also the first of an eight book book series; I’m finishing writing book eight, my readers have so much excitement waiting for them!
Running a cafe and trying to work on my books is massively challenging, but it is so wonderful to have that direct contact with some of my readers. It is awkward, however, when they march up to the counter and demand to know if they can have book two and I tell them it’s not available yet.
I don’t believe in the impossible. I believe we are capable of so much more than we imagine, and can’t bear to be around people with negative attitudes.
If I’m not working or writing I’m probably on a yoga mat or upside down. I fell in love with yoga and aerial hoop two years ago, and now do contortion training, and teach yoga whenever I can. They say being upside down for 20 minutes a day helps you live longer as it bathes important glands like the pituitary in blood so I’m happy to use this medicinal reasoning as an excuse to indulge my hobbies. I can turn the page of a book with my toes over my head, balanced on my arms. I don't recommend everyone tries this…
I don’t wear and I don't own trousers. I often get mistaken as someone who works in fashion because of my unusual hair styles and colourful outfits. I do own about ten pairs of different coloured hot pants, much to my mother’s disapproval!
I love travelling. One of my favourite places to go is Romania, as I have friends there to visit. The food is amazing, the people are so friendly, the scenery is beautiful and its much warmer in the summer compared to the UK!
I don’t own a TV. I have barely watched TV since I was a teenager doing homework. I love movies, but I’m too busy to sit in front of the goggle box. I would love to write a sit-com one day, or work on turning my books into scripts for film adaptions.
I have never read a Harry Potter book.
I have owned guinea-pigs since I was three. I now only have one, and she’s an utter nutcase called Marron, which means ‘brown’ in French, and she is the only being in the world who bosses me about. She knows when I open the fridge.
