The Numerology Guidebook takes all the “exciting” aspects of numerology such as forecasting the future, calculating your destiny and manifesting your dreams - and puts them together in one book. It also shows you how to calculate a numerology chart for loved ones and yourself and covers a variety of interesting topics such as: whether to change your name after marriage or divorce; recurring numbers; choosing a wedding date, partner, pet, baby or business name and calculating your life purpose.
What exactly is numerology for those who are unsure?
Numerology is the ancient science of numbers where your date of birth and name reveal the blueprint of your life. Western numerology was created 2500 years ago by Pythagoras, the Greek mystic and mathematician. I know it sounds whacky, but you’d be surprised how accurate it is. In ancient times, it was perfectly normal to navigate your life by the numbers and stars.
When did your interest in numerology begin?
My mother was into astrology, so I became interested myself at the age of 12, however I wasn’t drawn to numerology until the age of 21. I thought it sounded like a load of rubbish, so I didn’t give it a second thought. When I was 21 a friend gifted me a numerology reading - and that reading that literally changed my life! It was so accurate and such a life defining moment for me, that I’ve been studying numerology ever since - that was 23 years ago! That experience taught me to be more open minded and not to be quick to discount something without learning more about it. I’m grateful to have learned that lesson.
How can numerology predict things such as marriage and relationships?
There are certain periods in our numerology chart (calculated from our date of birth and name) where it’s highly likely we’ll begin or end a relationship. There are also favourable days to get married, however the numerology of a wedding date won’t make or break a marriage. Numerology is a great tool for evaluating the personality compatibility between two people and it’s a great tool to determine whether their lives are heading in the same direction. For example: If, between the age of 26 and 35, you’re going to be in a cycle of starting a family and settling down and your partner’s in a cycle of exploring the world and playing the field – it would be really helpful to know.
What indicators can numbers have on your children and their names?
A child’s date of birth and birth certificate name has a major influence on their personality as well as the circumstances of their life. It will uncover their strengths, talents and challenges as well as the type of career they can excel in. As a parent myself, I feel any added insight that can help us to better understand our children (which ultimately improves our relationship), is a bonus.
How can you apply numbers to your career and your finances?
Numerology is the ultimate tool for determining one’s career. In fact, in The Numerology Guidebook I provide suitable career choices for each of the numbers and you’d be surprised how many people with those particular numbers are actually working in those careers. It’s crazy. As for finances, well … some numbers are good with money and some numbers aren’t. Number 8’s are here to learn to adopt an attitude of abundance, and when they do, they can be extremely successful. However, regardless of your numbers, your mind-set is the key to financial abundance.
Why is personal and spiritual development so important in numerology?
Numerology is a fast track way to self-understanding therefore it can accelerate one’s progress in terms of personal development. In fact, a one hour numerology session will teach you more about yourself, your future and your life, than 10 year’s worth of therapy with the best therapist in the world. I believe self-understanding leads to self-acceptance, self- acceptance leads to self-love, self-love leads to empowerment and empowerment leads to success. In my experience, numerology has played a vital role in my own success. As numerology is a “metaphysical” science, you can’t help but acknowledge the spiritual aspect of it.
Please can you tell us a bit about your background?
Sure. I’m a single mother of two (Ava 6 and Ben 10) and have been for the past 5 years. I balance motherhood with my career and finish work at 2.30pm so I can pick the kids up from school at 3. Numerology is my passion but I take great pride in being a mum. I previously worked in the corporate world for 23 years whilst providing numerology readings in my spare time. As soon as I found the self-confidence to turn it into a career, everything took off from there.
What is next for you?
As a single mum I can’t go jetting off across the world at the drop off a hat, so this year I’ll be focusing on ways to connect with my international audience via the internet. This will involve creating online seminars and workshops, blogging and expanding my social media platform. I’ll be in a 3 Personal Year in 2015, so it’s the perfect time to write another book. But as I’m in a 2 Personal Year this year, it’s highly likely I’ll begin a new relationship from April on. I’ll keep you posted.
