Puberty Blues
Kathy Lette launches her new book Courting Trouble today so we take a look back at one of her old favourites Puberty Blues which she co-wrote with fellow author and surfer friend Gabrielle Carey.
This is Lette’s first book, which she wrote with her friend when they were just eighteen years of age. It tells the story of what it was like to grow up in the 1970’s yearning to do nothing but surf.
Lette answers reader questions about what changes she would make to her novel if she were to revisit it, how she uses her own experiences to create the stories for her books and which characters stole her heart the most. With her effortless humour she reveals her suggestions to her husband for her next novel idea.
