We have that specific dream which we want so badly
The only thing we can think about and daydream about and hope for, so gladly
Wondering what it would be like
Thinking of a story line
Deciding in you world what you may find
At the end
Day dreaming, pretend
When you finally attain it
Like a broken down gladiator reaching for the throne
It's not quite what you expected
Not quite full filing
Like an echoing empty barrel
And a film coming to a short end
No more day dreaming, no more pretend
Whatever happens cannot be controlled
A happy dream comes to an end
The result is not as satisfying as expected
It's just another part of life
We cannot always live in a fantasy
Sooner or later we will all have to be aware of reality.
